Personalized snow globes? my best friends birthday is in a few weeks and i know what i want to get her but i can't find anything online that doesn't look tacky. she collects snow globes and i wanted to get a personalized snow globe with a picture of me and her inside it. i found one or two online but they look really tacky. does anyone know any sites that i could find this on? --i looked on things remembered, and the only snow globe i found that could hold pictures was an anniversary one :(

How much money should I spend on my girlfriend's birthday? She's turning 17. I'm a freshman in college and I make roughly $500 a month working part time at McDonalds. That will be about $75 because of the engraving. I also wanted to get her a sapphire promise ring until we get engaged in the next year or two. I wanted to get her both of these things ($150-$175) along with her favorite box of chocolates, a stuffed animal, and a card (maybe a few other little girly items, and then take her out to dinner at her favorite restaurant. So, we're looking at $250. Is that enough? I love her so much and I only want to give her the best. $250 doesn't even begin to show how much I care about her...

HELP: Creative Gift Ideas for Boyfriend? So my bf will be 23 in November and I'm running out of things to get him...He loves the Flyers, but I already got him box seat tickets one year for his birthday and a pair of Flyers pajama pants for Christmas. He also likes video games, but his parents usually pre-order the ones he wants (the only one I was able to get him myself was the new MK.) He loves history, epecially WW2, but I've already gotten him enough books and dvd's from the history channel. Also, I made him things like our own personalized word search, pictures in snow globes, love letters, cd's of our favorite songs and so on. I want to do something nice for him for his birthday, but I'm running out of ideas. I was thinking of maybe taking a weekend trip to the mountains, or baking him cupcakes saying "I love you," but idk... Any ideas??

A 'special' Christmas present? I thought I would buy my son his Santa presents obviously every year and then have one special present from me, as I remember growing up when I still believed in Santa always wondering why my parents never bought me a present! Last Christmas (he wasn't born yet, he was due two days after but came on the 28th but I didn't know if he'd arrive before xmas or not so I went ahead and bought presents anyway) I bought a lovely big glass Christmas snow globe with a wind up tune with a personalised bit underneath. Just wondering if anybody had any ideas about what special I can buy this year - as sort of a joint first Christmas and first birthday present - obviously he'll still get all his toys etc but I want something he'll be able to keep and appreciate when he's older. If he was a girl it'd be easy, just a special bit of jewelry, but a boy I have no idea! I was thinking a nice watch but I think I'd prefer to buy him a nice watch when he's actually 18 instead of now. But something that will age well and still be special in the future, any ideas?
