Does The Golden Globes ever nominate movies people have actually seen?

This year's lot of movies may be the worst bunch ever. Together I bet they did not gross a $100 Million.

1. Yes, but it comes from the foreign press, so they have a better crack at things

The "foreign" press are actually just a bunch of critics from trash mags and the tabloids. the oscars are a joke, it should be a vote by their own colleagues such as actors, directors, editors, etc. as well as the public. it doesnt make any sense for these close-minded tab writers to vote for such a "serious" award. ugg the oscars is just a fashion show now...
3. Yes, they have but we never watch awards anymore. The only good thing is, celebs probably won't be bashing you know who now. However, they will be singing the new man's praises instead. These award shows got too political and yes, too fashion show as well. I saw a preview of whats her name saying Yes We Can on TV. I'd rather watch the news or the internet for political news. Edit- It also seems lately all they are doing is remakes. They are remaking a classic which they should leave alone.
