Where can I find individual maps of the countries of the world all with the same scale?

I want to create a website which allows users to compare the size of two or more countries. To do this, I need accurate representations of the sizes of those countries. I've tried playing with the google maps API, but it's quite limited in the precision of the zoom you can use to compensate for the distortion which results from the projection. Any ideas?

1. I don't know about the same scale requirement, but the CIA has a great site for maps: https://www.cia.gov/cia/publications/factbook/index.html
2. You can not do it with flat maps. There is distortion of the size of every nation regardless of what scale you use. You can only do what you want with a globe.
