Wholesale Globes

Does anyone have any ideas for displaying my growing collection of 20 or so snow globes?

I had them on a bookshelf once, but it broke and that broke a few of them.

  1. A sturdy, stand alone, book shelf will work. If the other one broke, it wasn't very sturdy or it wasn't put together properly.
  2. Here is a bunch of pics that might give you some ideas: http://images.google.com/images?q=knick+knack+shelving&btnG=Search+Images&um=1&hl=en&safe=off&rlz=1T4TSHA_en___US212
  3. IKEA makes a great glass display case for about $59.00. I think its called the detolv or detolf something like that. I put all my valuables in one. Then get this stuff called museum putty to secure them. It may seem like its not very tacky at first but it bonds up good as it dries.
  4. If you can fasten anything to your walls why don't you get the adjustable shelves. There are two rods that you fasten to the wall and they have different sizes of shelf holders and all you have to then is get your shelving. Another thing you can do is get some shadow boxes and stagger them on the wall and put the globes in them. You can also look for a curio cabinet.
  5. Hi: How about a lighted china hutch or a curio cabinet this way way you can show them off and protect it at the same time. That what I did with my 150 Music boxes and 60 snow globes along with a couple of funeral bells when a couple of my relatives died you can get the plans at the following websites: http://www.woodworking.com/ http://woodworking.about.com/ http://www.plansnow.com/ http://www.furnitureplans.com/ http://www.u-bild.com/ http://www.knottyplans.com/ http://www.woodnet.net/ I hope this helps.
