Wholesale Globes

What is the difference between the golden globes and the sag awards?

i saw the golden globe now the screen acters gild is on. all the same people seem to be at the sag as was in golden globe. i thought maybe sag was for tv where globe was for movies but that doesn'r seem it and the "screen" part of name would sugest otherwise. then i thought the sags were awards picked for actors by other actors but then what is the globes because the globes are pickes by a group of actors aren't they (they certainally aren't picked by the peoples choice- but thats another complaint)

  1. The Golden Globes are decided by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association and cover both Film and Television. The Screen Actors Guild Awards are decided by 4200 randomly selected members of the SAG. The SAG awards also honors film/tv as well as members of SAG.
