Wholesale Globes

Anyone else disappointed that "Inglorious Basterds" did not win best picture in the Golden Globes?

Of all the films nominated for Golden Globes, hands down "Inglorious Basterds" was the best. Avatar seems to have paid for lots and lots for PR. What wins the award, money or talent?

  2. I have yet to see Avatar, but it didn't surprise me that it won Best Picture. I was just SO pleased that Christoph Waltz won for Best Supporting Actor. There was no one who deserved it more. I swear, I've only been given goosebumps by two actors; Anthony Hopkins in Silence of the Lambs, and Christoph Waltz. He was incredible.
  3. YES THANK YOU. Avatar is so freaking overrated. And of course the Golden Globes are going to give best picture to james cameron for his ~original piece of work. Please it's only because of money. Besides Avatar isn't anything new or great. Yes it has great sfx but that's it the story and dialogue are mediocre not enough for so many awards. IB was incredible. QT really outdone himself. He took something out of history and made it his own and the dialogue was seriously the best part. At least Christoph Waltz won BSA because he deserved it.
